19 year old man dating 28 year old woman
To engage with an older guy is to peek inside a different point-of-view on life.
As much of our generation is delaying activities like marriage and procreating, we are, in effect, also prolonging its adolescence.“I find it comforting to know that her life goes on when I’m not around,” he said. Plus, I’m talking about outside of the bedroom as well. etc.) But many are not.** She’s choosier, and, unlike the 26-year-olds who think they’ll drop dead if they’re not engaged by 27, married at 28, and prego before 30, she’s looking at life a little differently now.(This is code for, “I dread clingy girls who abandon their own ships the moment we have sex, and set up camp on my shore.”) Also, the fact that an older woman has her own money means she likely worked hard to get it. You may buy into the idea that all older women are “desperate.” Granted, some are. This doesn’t mean she doesn’t want marriage/kids, because she might—but if so, she’ll be pretty clear about it up front. And, unlike the 23-year-old who gets tanked and throws shade at your ex, she’s got class. I once went out with a young man from Queens who only dated older women because younger ladies, he found, couldn’t do a thing without checking in with 15 of their friends. In fact, your ex will likely friend her on FB (like my old bf’s ex-wife did). When you date a younger woman, he said, you also date all her friends, and it’s “a pain in the fucking ass.” You can’t just go out and do your own thing because she must receive approval from a larger governing body. It's because of this urban legend that has gone around forever.
Based upon this rule, the only time that a man can date a woman his own age is when he's 14 years old (because half of 14 is seven, and seven plus seven is 14).
And at 19, she is old enough to drink despite the government saying she isn't. So why is there a stigma if a 28 year old is dating a 19 year? Judging from what my other boys have told me is that she's always been fond of older men. But I'm with you on the maturity and mental/knowledge aspect of it. I'm in the working world, and she'd be barely out of high school. My dad is 81 and my mom is 66 and people don't blink an eye.
But that's a different subject for a different thread. My dad is 81 and my mom is 66 and people don't blink an eye. They key is whether people of those specific ages can find a true connection. So why is there a stigma if a 28 year old is dating a 19 year? That's not much of an age difference at all, I've got no problem with it.
Without those weightier responsibilities, Millennial boys (or, for the most part, the ones I've encountered) are living this suspended fratboy mentality.
Thus, we ladies have looked to older men to fulfill those more grown-up needs.
So if you’re only seeking women in the 21-29 age range, let me tell you, you’re missing out. And by that I mean: her own career, her own friends, her own apartment, her own money.
