Blackberry it policy not updating
Devices ignore rules in an IT policy that to not apply to them.
With the release of Black Berry Enterprise Server 4.1 SP4 and Black Berry Device Software 4.2.2, the Remote Wipe Reset to Factory Defaults IT policy rule allows administrators to remove the IT policy from a Black Berry smartphone and restore all factory default settings.Any Software Configurations containing Black Berry Device Software bundles must be removed entirely before the setting can be changed.To do this, select Manage software configurations and go over each Software Configuration ensuring that the Black Berry Device Software configuration is blank next to the Name: field.IT policy packs are triggered by a synchronization process through the CORE service.Every 24 hours CORE will perform a GET request to The GET request will contain a hash of the currently applied IT policy pack and it will be compared with the hash of the IT policy pack on the remote server.The Clear IT Policy option on the Black Berry Administration Service will remove the custom IT policy and apply the default IT policy to the Black Berry smartphone user's account.
Note: This option is not available at the user level. Please ensure that the default IT policy has not been modified in the environment when using this option.
Description: Specify whether a Black Berry device allows Context Collection Library (CCL) data collection across all apps.
CCL allows apps to collect rich data related to app usage, and to carry out deep cross-application analysis.
Warning: This procedure can delete either all data, or all data and applications on the Black Berry smartphone. For more information on how to back up data, see Article 12487.
If using Black Berry Enterprise Server 5.0 to 5.0 SP4 for Microsoft Exchange, the Black Berry Administration Service gives the option to remove any custom IT policies from the Black Berry smartphone user's account without having to security wipe the Black Berry smartphone.
